2 more skulls from missing sabungeros recovered in Taal Lake

Two more human skulls, believed to be from missing sabungeros, have been recovered from Taal Lake, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

DOJ spokesperson Mico Clavano stated that other human remains, not just skulls, were also found, making it difficult to determine the exact number of individuals involved.

These newly discovered remains will undergo screening and DNA testing.

No family members have yet identified any of the recovered remains based on clothing.

The search and retrieval operations in Taal Lake, led by the Philippine Coast Guard, continue whenever weather conditions permit.

The investigation began after whistleblower Julie Patidongan alleged that over 100 sabungeros were abducted, killed, and disposed of in the lake.
