Two police officers were killed and four others were wounded during a buy-bust operation in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG)-Special Operations Unit-15 (SOU-15), along with military and other police units, conducted the operation targeting a drug syndicate.

An exchange of fire occurred after the suspects noticed they were dealing with law enforcement operatives and attempted to escape.

Two suspects were wounded and arrested, while two others escaped and are now the subject of a manhunt operation.

Authorities seized suspected shabu worth nearly P7 million.

Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) Director, Brigadier General Romeo Macapaz, ordered all personnel to heighten alert levels and assured the public of justice for the fallen officers.
