1Sambayan to endorse Robredo, Pangilinan on Jan 28

The 1Sambayan opposition coalition will formally endorse Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan in an event on January 28.

Seven senatorial candidates will also be endorsed by 1Sambayan during the same event.

These seven include reelectionist Senators Leila de Lima and Risa Hontiveros, former Ifugao Representative Teddy Baguilat Jr., human rights lawyer Chel Diokno, book author Alex Lacson, labor lawyer Sonny Matula, and former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

1Sambayan co-convenor Howard Calleja stated that the list of endorsed senatorial candidates is ongoing and the January 28 event is an "opening salvo".

Other senatorial bets on Robredo's ticket not endorsed by 1Sambayan include Jejomar Binay, Chiz Escudero, Richard Gordon, Joel Villanueva, and Migz Zubiri.
