184 NCR areas under granular lockdown

A total of 184 areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) are currently under granular lockdown as of Wednesday, according to data from the Philippine National Police (PNP).

These lockdown zones are situated in 74 barangays across nine cities and municipalities within the NCR.

The PNP has deployed 247 police personnel and 452 force multipliers to ensure security and compliance with health standards in these critical areas.

The lockdown classifications include 93 streets, 71 houses, 15 residential buildings, four residential building floors, and one subdivision or village.

Local government units can impose granular lockdowns on specific houses, compounds, streets, or buildings with a high number of COVID-19 infections.

A single COVID-19 case in a house or condominium floor is sufficient grounds for a lockdown, while two cases are needed to lock down an entire street.
