18 collegiate volleyball teams to vie in Shakey's Super League

Eighteen collegiate volleyball teams, comprising ten from the NCAA and eight from the UAAP, will compete in the third Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship starting Friday, September 27, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

This marks the first time since 2022 that all 18 teams from both leagues are participating, with University of the Philippines and De La Salle University returning after a leave of absence last year.

Reigning UAAP queen National University, led by MVP Bella Belen, is considered the heavy favorite to win their third consecutive title.

Schools are also permitted to include senior high school players this year.

The opening games on Friday will feature Far Eastern University against San Sebastian College-Recoletos, followed by Lyceum University of the Philippines versus University of the East.

The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday.
