1,436 cadets pass PMA entrance exams, women lead top ranks

Over 1,400 aspiring cadets successfully passed the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) entrance examinations nationwide, with young women dominating the top ranks.

Amanda Isabel T. Guzman of the Philippine Science High School in Bicol Region secured the top spot, followed by Gwen Kyla P. Phalashol and Aafia Khim Alzeynaah P. Lomondaya, both from Philippine Science High Schools.

A total of 1,436 out of 24,671 qualified examinees passed, resulting in a 5.82% passing rate, which is an improvement from the previous year's 5.02%.

The increased passing rate signifies a growing interest among young Filipinos in pursuing a career in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The successful examinees will now undergo further rigorous evaluations, including medical, physical, and psychological assessments.

Those who will be accepted will form the PMA Class of 2030 and commence their training in May of the following year.
