14 gov't agencies get 'outstanding' DBM performance rating

Only 14 government departments and agencies received an 'outstanding' rating from the Department of Budget and Management's (DBM) 2024 Agency Performance Review.

The review assessed 308 departments, agencies, and state colleges and universities based on financial performance, physical performance, and the timeliness and quality of report submissions.

Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman stated the rating aims to ensure government offices are efficient in budget utilization for public service.

Agencies earning an 'outstanding' rating include the Civil Service Commission, Public Attorney's Office, Foreign Service Institute, Games and Amusement Board, and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.

Other 'outstanding' agencies are the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, National Labor Relations Commission, National Wages and Productivity Commission, News and Information Bureau, and Philippine Information Agency.

Among state universities and colleges, Biliran Province State University, Cagayan State University, Davao del Sur State College, and President Ramon Magsaysay State University were rated 'outstanding'.
